Hard work, intelligence and raw talent within the channel are among the reasons Lori Cornmesser has been recognized by CRN Magazine as one of the Top Women in the Channel for the past 8 years, and was named this year as the CRN Magazine Channel Chief 2017. She was also named to the Power 100 list in 2009, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. Recently, following the decision to regionalize the company’s channel program, Lori decided to part ways with Ixia in pursuit of new ventures.

In her unending efforts to help empower women and guide them in positions of leadership, Lori was nominated as the President of the Board from the Women’s Global Leadership Initiative (WGLI). She was an active member on the board of the Cloud Convergence Council and in 2011, the Diversity Journal bestowed upon her the honor of naming her the Woman Worth Watching of 2011. More recently, in June 2014, she earned the Diversity First Leadership Award. Lori Cornmesser was also appointed to the role of the Vice President of Global Channel Sales at Ixia Communications.  Ixia is a huge force within the Channel, and this position is a newly created role within the company.  Cornmesser’s 25 years of experience within the Channel, her leadership abilities and her tireless work ethic made her the most obvious choice for the individual who should take on this brand new position. While Lori Cornmesser routinely took on a number of responsibilities in this pivotal role at Ixia, her primary responsibilities included the creation, facilitation and administration of the channel business of Ixia. She specialized in Channel recruitment, development, and management, and consistently offered her keen insight into the strategy and execution of new business development. Her remarkable career has been a testament to her exceptional leadership skills and her ability to thrive in even the most high-velocity and high-activity environments.

Above all, Lori Cornmesser’s goal for Ixia in her role was to boost their channel sales, leverage new techniques and strategies for increasing the growth of the company and aiding Ixia partners in the advancement and expansion of their businesses.  The aiding of these partners primarily focused on the utilization of  novel technologies that will greatly improve the business as well as overall profitability. Prior to her role with Ixia, Lori Cornmesser was a valued member of the team at Juniper Networks, entering the company top fill the role of Head of Worldwide Service Channel Development & Global Strategic Partner Management. This was just the beginning of Cornmesser’s place within Juniper. She steadily climbed the ranks, earning a promotion to the position of Head of Global Managed Services & Service Provider Alliance Partnerships, followed by a further promotion to the position of Vice President of Service Provider Alliance Sales.  Her final position within Juniper Networks was as the Head of Worldwide Partner Development. Lori Cornmesser dedicated 11 years of her time as a loyal and invaluable member of the Juniper Team.

These years not only helped her to cultivate her expertise within the Channel, but also to help Cornmesser to develop a deep and expansive first-hand understanding of the inner workings of a successful business, along with the best possible methods of putting said understanding into action in order to strengthen and improve any company she should work for in the future. Along with maintaining a highly illustrious professional life, Lori Cornmesser also is deeply involved in a number of organizations outside of her career. She is a Board Member of Channel Vanguard, is a mentor for Outside Counsel and, perhaps most notably, has previously served as the President of the Silicon Valley Diversity Council. As a woman of African-American, Latin and German descent, Lori Cornmesser is acutely aware of the importance of and need to embrace diversity within the workplace, not to mention our society at large, and used her time on the Diversity Council to bring some important issues to light.

Lori Cornmesser earned her Bachelor’s of the Arts from Florida State University, with a focus on Business Law and Economics.  She then went on to further her education by earning her MBA in International Business from Columbus University.

Lori is married and is a proud mother of two children.  While her career and various commitments do call for a great deal of her time and energy, Lori Cornmesser makes sure that she reserves time for her family.  She enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, reading, writing children’s books, and anything pertaining to healthy living, such as yoga and kickboxing.
